Math Adventurers privacy

How this product uses information, where it is stored, and how to get help with your choices.

Practice data and profiles

Math Adventurers records the questions and answers needed for progress reports, including topic, skill, difficulty, correctness, date, response time, and relevant geometry measurements. Native profiles use a nickname and avatar. Use a nickname rather than a full legal name. The published product policy describes guest practice whose results are not saved.

Where progress is stored

The web app stores progress in the current browser’s local storage. The native iPhone and iPad app stores data locally and in the user’s private CloudKit database when iCloud is available. The web app does not currently synchronize progress with CloudKit.

Adult access

The native app protects profile and progress management with adult access. Its PIN is stored in the device Keychain. Face ID and Touch ID are evaluated on the device; the app does not receive biometric data.

Advertising and sharing

The published product policy states that Math Adventurers contains no advertising, third-party analytics, or tracking technology, does not sell personal information, and does not share practice data with advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers, or other users.

Retention and deletion

In the native app, an authorized adult can open Student Profiles and clear a student’s results to remove local and private iCloud progress. In the web app, clearing the site’s browser storage removes local progress. Clearing browser data cannot be undone through the web app. A parent, guardian, or teacher can contact OBXSoft with questions.
